Captain Muhammad Musa started his aviation career as a Flight Crew in June 1974 with Malaysia Airline System (MAS). He acquired certification for aircraft type ratings as commander on Fokker 27, Boeing 737(200,300), Airbus A300 B4, DC 10 -30, Boeing 747 ( 200, 300 & 400 Series). His cumulated flying hours till 2016 were approximately 18,000 hours. He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Hull, UK.
During his tenure in MAS, he has served as Fleet Manager F27 (1984-1985), Chief Pilot Line Operations (1994-1995) and Chief Pilot Flight Safety & Standards (1995-1997). He obtained a qualification on Aircraft Accident Investigation from University of Cranfield, UK in 1996 and attended the Air Carrier Indoctrination at the FAA Academy, Oklahoma USA in 1997. He initiated the Surveillance Program for MAS in 1996. Panel speakers in major international Safety Conventions, in Guangzhou, China organized by Boeing and Flight Safety Foundation in 1995 and for ISASI organized by ANA Airlines at Narita, Japan in 1996. He successfully organized the storming of B747-400 Hijack Exercise in 1996 in conjunction with Unit Tindak Khas Tentera Sg. Udang, Negri Sembilan. He had experience working with Asiana Airlines, Seoul Korea in 2000 -2003 on secondment from MAS. He retired from MAS in January 2013.
Joined Eaglexpress Air Charter in February 2013 and appointed as Vice President Safety & Security in June 2013. Appointed as Project Director for IOSA Registration and set up the Quality section within the Safety department in Nov 2015. He was responsible to establish Document Management department to handle all operational manuals in EZX. Eaglexpress has successfully registered for the IOSA with IATA in May 2016. He was the Vice-President Corporate Safety, Quality & Safety till 10thJune 2016 before assuming the current position as Director Flight Operations/SVP Operations.
